Another piece from my senior project! I grew up with stories from my mom about how fairies were real, living in our world. Something that always stuck with me was the stories of fairy rings. These circles made of mushrooms or tall grass are believed to be gateways into the faerie world. If a human crosses into the ring, he gets swiped up into the dancing of fey creatures. It’s believed that he becomes so apart of the dance, that he doesn’t realise that years, even decades, have passed.

Some Process sketches! When I was trying to come up with a project for a class i drew out ALOT of ideas i had. These are the ones that inspired me to work with Irish fork tales. I’ll try to post some of the other ideas I had and didn’t end up using.

ELVES!! This was an assignment for a class. We were given a random creature and we had to ‘hide’ them somewhere in the piece. Luck me, I got elves. When researching more about them, all I could find was that they were either wicked big, or wicked small or worked for Santa… So i decided to put my own spin on them!
